Happy Easter

Cade helped Mom make Easter sugar cookies.  He enjoyed the rolling and cutting part, but I’m pretty sure the decorating part was his favorite!  He was very diligent about listening for the oven timer – as soon as it would go off he would make sure I was immediately getting the cookies out.  For the next several days, he kept asking for more “cooks” with “frost” & “sprink.”

One of our friends, Elise, hosted an Easter egg hunt for the little kids on the Friday before Easter.  It was perfect for Cade, he enjoyed hunting around their living room for the eggs.
DSC03403We had to explain that he needed to keep looking for eggs rather than stopping and opening each one as he went along. DSC03404DSC03407DSC03408DSC03410Happy kids: Ian, Ainsley, Braden & Cade!

On Easter Sunday, Tyler had to be at the hospital, so Cade & I went to church and then came home and waited for Dad to get home before he got his basket.

(Yes, Cade does look like an old man with his dark socks and shorts because after church he refused to take them off when he changed out of his church clothes.)

Cade was also a big fan of the “HAM” dinner.  He was very enthusiastic about eating his ham since one of his favorite books is Green Eggs & Ham.  He was sad when we finally finished all the leftovers.

  1. This was just wonderful to watch. Makes me sad that we can't share these special moments in person.
