Tyler spent the last 4 weeks in Rochester, MN at the Mayo Clinic. We missed him a lot! Thank goodness for Skype, but that isn’t nearly the same! After his rotation there, he came up to his parents’ house in Lakeville and finally had a free weekend.
So my mom drove to the Curtiss, WI truck stop (a favorite half-way point for Appleton to Minneapolis commuters!) where we met Aunt Heather who took us the rest of the way to Lakeville. We were all very excited to see Daddy!
We went to the Sculpture Garden – home of the famous cherry with the spoon:
Cade with Grandma Dahl
My friend Liz & her baby Sylvia joined us!
Then we walked around the University of Minnesota. Tyler had fun showing Cade his alma mater and Cade had fun pointing out all of the “M”s, which Cade thinks are synonymous with hockey – hmmm, I wonder who could have given him that idea?
Then we went and enjoyed a burger and malt at Annie’s – a favorite of anyone who has spent time in Dinkytown.
Cade & Lydia spent sent some time hanging out at Grandma & Grandpa Dahl’s house.

Cade & Daddy playing Cars

We went to the Mall of America and Cade enjoyed Legoland!
Cade & Lego Woody from Toy Story
Now for 6 weeks of “fun” for Tyler at the University of MN!
