Yesterday, Tyler took his last test of 3rd year, his Internal Medicine Shelf exam. Therefore, he is officially DONE with 3rd year!
There were definitely times throughout this year that I thought it would never end (like right before Christmas during the surgery rotation or during his stint over at the Naval hospital in Portsmouth!). It did, however, end and now looking back over the year as a whole it did go by quickly. Tyler definitely worked hard and did very well in all of his rotations. Now he will spend the next weeks studying for the second of his Board exams (called Step 2). Then we will pack up and head to the Midwest so he can get some experience with Orthopedics before he applies and interviews for residency.
Lydia, Cade & I are all very proud of all of his hard work and accomplishments! To celebrate we got Cold Stone ice cream on Friday night with some of our med student family, Chris & Sammy (but forgot my camera). Then we decided we deserved another treat on Saturday so we celebrated again at Sugar Plum Bakery!
