What is Quarry Quest? Well, the short answer is: a little boy’s dreams come true! The long answer is: a fundraiser where a quarry near my parents’ house opens up to the public and kids have the opportunity to ride and drive all kinds of heavy equipment. Grandma and Grandpa Hyatt took us and Cade had the best time with all of the “BIG SCOOPS”!
First, we got to ride a school bus from the parking lot to the quarry. Cade thought that was pretty cool.
Cade got a bright orange construction vest and he was ready to see all of the big scoops.
Cade drove a crane.
He rode up high in a bucket with Grandpa Hyatt.
After a long wait in line, Cade got to operate the BIG SCOOP!
He got to climb up on the equipment.
Our last activity of the day was taking a ride in the back of a dump truck.
