We were lucky and Tyler arranged one of his days off during the Minnesota State Fair. We met up with Grandma Dahl, Aunt Heather and Uncle Justin to enjoy “The Great Minnesota Get-together” as it is referred to around here.
First, we took the kids through the farm exhibit where they got to do everything from plant their seeds to get paid for their harvest and “buy” a snack at the end.
Next, we spent a long time at the John Deere exhibit. Cade was content to sit behind the wheel and check out the different features of the tractors for over an hour.
Of course, Cade needed a picture by the railroad crossing.
Miss Lydia just wanted to run around everywhere.
We ended the day with one of my personal favorites, Sweet Martha’s cookies and a bottomless glass of milk!
By the end we were all worn out and both kids were asleep before we even made it back to the car!
